Though the DC output it can accept hasn’t been revealed yet, the Kona Electric can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 41 minutes. Where the Kona Electric improves significantly is with its 800-volt architecture. This is an improvement over the previous model, but only barely since the previous generation model did 258 miles. What we’d recommend instead is a Kona Electric with the bigger 64.8 kWh battery pack, which increases the power output to 201 horses and range to 260 miles. Then again, while the Bolt EUV has crossover-aping styling, it’s a far smaller EV. That’s especially when you consider that a Chevrolet Bolt EUV, which is one of America’s most affordable EVs, offers 50 miles more range with a base price of a little over $27,000. If you opt for the base 48.6 kWh battery, you are given 133 horses and 188 pound-feet of torque along with 197 miles of range, which makes this variant of the Kona Electric unattractive. The said center console also has removable panels and pieces such as the cup holders that can be hidden or deployed, or the tray that once removed, the entire center console storage can even hold a small tripod. The Kona’s interior draws inspiration from the lounge-like vibe of the Ioniq 5, and thus, the center console that sits low and features a "floating" design helps improve the spaciousness of the interior-at least visually. The cabin space is also very high on functionality. But now, there’s a variety of interesting textures and materials that help in making the Kona feel more premium.
Okay, so the prior Kona’s interior wasn’t even premium to begin with, which meant that the bar for interior quality from the previous model wasn’t even high. I posted a link to the Ioniq 5 forum post the lists the specs for each trim level. They do have a heat pump except the base level RWD.

The new software also has added functionality-most notable of which are over-the-air (OTA) updates. The software running these screens has a new look to them-aping the minimalist and clean interface found in Genesis vehicles. The stylishness begins with the dash, which incorporates two 12.3-inch high-resolution screens on higher trims, one being the digital gauges while the other is the main infotainment screen. It also looks stylish from whatever angle you view it. Not only is the interior a lot more spacious, though.
